Sean and Rebecca Moritzky have been playing harps for 10 years. They have played as a duet as well as soloists. Sean played harp with the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra located at the University of Denver for two years, the Arapahoe youth Philharmonic Orchestra for one year, and his church orchestra for two years.
Rebecca has played harp with the Denver Young Artists Orchestra-Conservatory Orchestra for 4 years and played one year with the Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra and two years with her church orchestra. She played the harp part for "Meet Me in St. Louis" and adapted pieces from the "Nutcracker".
Both Sean and Rebecca played as two of six harpists during the opening concert at the Denver Elle Caulkins Opera House in 2006. They were also featured on the "Competitive-Edge" television show premier; a program focusing on successful teens in Colorado.
In 2005, they were asked to play in Pawling, New York, as part of GUIDEPOSTS 100th birthday celebration for Mrs. Norman Vincent Peale and played at a Memorial Service at the Center for Positive Living.
Sean and Rebecca have played for many weddings in the Denver Metro area providing classical prelude and ceremony music. Following the ceremonies, they have provided a variety of music for transitional times as well as receptions and dinners. For these events, they have played classical, jazz, and some pop music based on the requests from the bride and groom.
Additionally, they have played in retirement centers providing a program of not only varied types of harp music, but a program explaining how a harp works and their history learning the harp. At some of these centers, they have provided background music for Christmas, Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve, and other special events.
Local churches have asked them to play for the many seasons and holidays through out the year. They have played at craft shows, bizarres, talent nights, fund raiser events, marriage dinners, and retreats.
In addition to playing duets together, they have played with flutists and violinists in instrumental combos. They have an electric harp for special events and can provided amplified harp music.
